Blessing, birthday, and zoo

So I know it's been forever, but here's a few glimpses of our latest fun.  Ben was blessed last month and we had a lot of family come and support us.  It was great and Ben didn't cry through the whole thing!  The blessing was beautiful and I'm so grateful for a wonderful worthy priesthood holder who leads our home.

Nick turned 2 the first part of June!  I can't believe it!  He's gotten so big and is talking so well!  He's big into Elmo, so I made an Elmo cake-I think it turned out ok. It was really cute, he actually could blow out his candles this year.

He also is in a tie phase-he wears one almost everyday and sleeps with one on on a regular basis, so we got him a new tie and he immediately put it on and didn't want to take it off!

Don't worry, we did get him a tonka truck too!

We also visited my family and went to the zoo!  Nick really liked the "roars" aka Dinosaurs they had there, and the carousel.  I was sad that they didn't have any lions or bears, but Nick still had fun.  At least they had monkeys!

Us on the train!  I can't believe how fast time flies!  Happy summer everyone.

Baby Ben

So Benjamin Robert decided to come a couple weeks early!  He was born on March 3 and weighed 6 lbs 2 oz and was 18.5 inches long.  He looks completely different than Nick, but maybe that's because of the hair!  He's been such a good baby, and Nick is such a good big brother-he didn't like the doctor touching him and had to make sure he was ok the whole time.  It's been fun to see how excited Nick gets.  We're so grateful Ben is here safe and sound and couldn't be happier!

Merry Christmas

This is Rob and Nick making candy! We spent almost
a week making different kinds and had fun doing it.

Nick helping Rob put the star on our Christmas tree.

Making gingerbread houses at Grandma's. He actually put the
candy on the house-except the gummy bears!

Meeting Ho Ho Ho. They kind of had a stare down contest

Nick got a ball from Santa! He was quite happy!

This is one of Nick's favorite presents-a broom just his size!
He loves to sweep and we do it for at least an hour a day.
I don't know why it's so great, but he has fun and tells me
where all the kuckies are.

This is the top present ELMO! Nick absolutely loves Elmo
and now sleeps with him, and loves to watch Elmo's world.

This is the blanket I made Nick. He sees it and says "BALL"
and loves to run around on it when it's spread out. It makes me
happy he likes it. I also made a matching one for the baby but with
a gray back.

Summer Fun

So I know it's been forever, so hopefully this will catch everyone up through the summer.
Just in time for fall right?

We (ok mostly Rob) repainted our bedrooms and Nick
was such a good helper!  He even learned
how to climb the ladder.

Luckily Grandma and Grandpa have a pool
because Nick LOVED swimming.  The first time
we went, he stayed in for over 2 1/2 hours
and didin't want to get out.

This is all the boys after the homerun derby at the
Randall Reunion.

Nick with one of his favorite cousins up at
the Randall Ranch!  Dirt, water, cows, and candy
how can a little boy go wrong?

The whole family at the reunion!  Only missing
4 grandkids out of 54.   Not to bad.  We're close
to the top on the the far right.

I started running at the beginning of the summer
and decided to run the 5K in Enterprise in July.
I did it in 29:52 which my goal was under 30
so not too bad (at least for me as a nonrunner)

Nick and Rob waiting for the parade to start!
Nick especially liked getting to eat the
candy that was thrown and the horses!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Nick turned 1 on June 2nd!  He's getting so big!
We had fun letting him get cake everywhere!
And his golf set from Aunt Lisa was a huge hit!

We took this in our back yard.

He looks so proper right here!

Here's him trying to hit the golf ball.
Usually mom helps.

I made Nick a baseball cake,
He ate a little, but made a BIG mess. :)

As you can see, I got splattered too!

Here he is patting it.  Way too much fun!

We also went to California Memorial Day weekend for
my grandpa's 80th Birthday party.  Nick's favorite thing
was helping grandpa feed the birds.

Here he is with Grandpa Rick and
Grandpa Dick!

Here he is putting out bread for the birds to eat!
Although he tried to eat some of it too!

Easter

Easter was so much fun!  The easter bunny brought Nick a basketball hoop, bubbles, and a few other things.  Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Randall's and had an Easter egg hunt.  Nick didn't really care about the candy, he just like being outside and having a stick to play with!

Catch up!

So I know, it's been FOREVER!  I know I can't possibly put all the cute things that Nick has done in the last 3 months on here, but I can put some!  So here's how our holidays went, and how things are now!
This is us at Thanksgiving.

Nick's gingerbread house!  Okay, mom helped!

Nick did really well with Santa!
He just kind of starred for a minute,
and then looked around.

Nick Christmas morning with his new bathtub toys!
He absolutely loves them!

Christmas paper!  Nick's favorite!

Nick and Dad watching football!

Nick's first haircut.  He did really well until Rob
tried to cut by his neck.  He really didn't like that!

Nick at 8 months old.
He turned 9 months 2 days ago,
but I haven't put those pics on the computer yet,
so this will have to do.

Hope everyone is great.  We sure have had a great couple months!
